On May 2, 2006, Local 848 members voted for the delegates that will represent all of us at the UAW International convention that will be held in Las Vegas June 11-16. The UAW International analyzed our membership data and ruled that we could have one delegate representing members at Lockheed and Raytheon and four delegates representing Vought employees. The Elections Committee posted results on May 3. Here is an unofficial version:

For many of our members, elections are fun as well as a serious duty. Long-time members get to see their old friends from other shifts, other companies, and other facilities in a casual setting on our parking lot. Although the candidates are not allowed close to the polls, they are usually around to greet the voters.
