Win a Cruise While Helping Yourself!
Most union members realize that they can lose at the ballot box
everything that they have won at the negotiating table, consequently, they are
eager to see their political power increase. Since reactionary laws prevent
unions from financing candidates, union members often raise funds for their own
Community Action Program (CAP). UAW Region 5 members are working to raise funds
by selling raffle tickets. The winners will get their choice of four wonderful
cruises for two:

Mexican Riviera
Tickets are priced at 2 for $5, but members who are willing to
sign up for a tiny weekly payroll deduction can get extra tickets. All Local
848 elected leaders are selling tickets. A few of the best union activists are
also selling them.
