The top picture is the site of the
old Dresser plant on Westmoreland and Illinois in Dallas, where hundreds of
Steelworkers were employed. Halliburton bought, closed, and razed it.
UAW Local 514 had hundreds of UAW members
in an air conditioning plant in Waxahachie
Just a few years ago, UAW 1999 was
the largest General Motors assembly plant in the U.S.
There aren't any jobs in these pictures;
not any more.
