LCLAA Elects Officers
During the AFL-CIO COPE convention January 26-27, members of the Labor
Committee for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA) campaigned for election to
head the Texas-wide organization. The UAW supported a slate headed by Jaime
Martinez of San Antonio.
He won. Any union member can join the organization. Gerardo
Contreras has sign-up cards. He reports to the Dallas Central Labor Council on
the third Thursday of each month.
