Members of UAW Local 848 at Lockheed have been conducting Solidarity Meetings
for several months. They are continuing to grow. Our meeting is held at 5:30
PM on the Tuesday evening prior to the regular monthly Sunday Membership meeting.
Thanks to one of our members’ donating Ranger tickets and parking passes for
door prizes, Russel Hatton and Johnny Hayes walked away with the tickets. The
grandson of Harold Lugrand, Tavyon Lugrand, did the drawing.
We hold discussions on what you, the membership, feel should to be brought to
our attention. Remember, you drive these meetings and they are your meetings.
These meetings are not only your opportunity to ask questions, and bring forth
issues to your leadership, but to have fellowship with your brothers and sisters.
It is imperative over the course of the next several months that we all become
more union minded and pull in a single direction if we intend to have the strength
needed to accomplish what is necessary October of next year. We must support
one another. Stand tall and proud to be a member of UAW Local 848!
Next month, September 13th, plan on attending, bring someone with you, and have a hot dog or two.
