Lockheed Situation Is Improving
Lockheed Chairman Herb Brand told the May
membership meeting, "We have, hopefully, hit the bottom of our downward
mode." He pointed out that Lockheed had brought some laid-off employees
back and hired a very few new people. "Not a big number," Brand said,
"but it sure beats the way we were going for a while. I just wanted to let
y'all know that we're headed up a little bit."
