Gene, please put me on a list with my home email address since the company may not allow us access to this site forever, most cyber-kids can access their home sites from cell-phones or re-mote access...

From the information received from the union hall; Vought doesn't seem to be negotiating in "good faith'! I fully support the Negotiating Committee that represent all UAW employees at Vought. If needed, I'll walk the line too! Thanks for the information, Gene. Its appreciated.

Will try to get some more sign-ups so our web ring can cover more area.

Please add me to the email list and keep me updated.

I am a retired member and still have family working at Vought. I would like to be added to list to keep up with what's going on.

I was an employee of Vought Aircraft until I was laid off. I'm currently on lay-off status and hopefully be recalled to work within the next few months. I read what's in the newspaper and I see what's on the news. Is there any way you could give me some information on what the subjects of the votes were and the out comes? My ex-co-workers have informed me on some of the subjects, but I would like to hear it from someone within the union. I would really appreciate any news or information you can provide for me.

Thanks for your efforts in communicating with the members. These leaders have a monumental task, and I have no doubt they are up to the challenge. I thought about how proud you would be to witness, first hand, the membership's resolve out here on the shop floor... it's a "beautiful thing".

The workers are hurt as much as they are mad. How the company can get their head on straight enough to ever recover any trust remains to be seen. I am sure I'll retire before that day happens, and be eatin' fried chicken, singin' hymns, and tellin' my own labor war stories on a Thursday in the Union Hall.

We carried the company thru some nasty swamp water and set them on a dry bank. I did not see that "kick" comin'. Keep up the good work !

Thanks for this outlet to get more and current info. The Nashville people are getting informed. Believe me, there are a couple of hundred more on their way who count on me and a few others for Dallas news.

My unit is in a poor area, but we are Union Proud. We only had one guy non-Union and he re-tired on the last contract thanks to Union Negotiated benefits and pension. We must stand up and fight for the ones who either wont or can't. Thank God we are not going to just bend over and take like all the other workers have. If we are to believe we are a world class builder of aerospace structures, give us our due. Don't slap us in the face.

They need us more than we need them. In fact, we have all been there longer than them. The last few days, they saw what happens when they insult us. Be assured if we walk the line is down. Thats why we are 100%. They need all of us. We knew it, now they know it!

Some of our unit members left the union in the 84' - 85' turmoil. Some had never been in a union at all! Anyway, we're 100% union now, and ready to walk if necessary.

My shop went from 40% membership to 100% membership in 2 days. Granted, we have few people, but 100% is 100%!

I have never been more proud to be a member of UAW Local 848. On Sunday September 26, 2004, my Brothers and Sisters stood tall, stood strong, and sent a very important message to the company. We will not bow down to and accept a contract below market standards….

I leave with you one caution to observe in the coming days. Please be careful with your actions in the coming days as the company is looking for any excuse to make an example out of each and every one of us. United We Stand!

*//I thought some of our members might appreciate seeing what others are saying through the "feedback" option on our web page. I modified these comments in consideration of the fact that the company may be watching. I left out info that would have identified the writers, and I threw out all curse words. -Gene//
