Late Wednesday the company extended written notice to the union of its willingness to discuss modifications to the company's best and final offer.

Your Bargaining Committee, Chairman and President, wish to inform each member that they are working diligently to ensure that negotiations will continue, with every effort to reach a fair and acceptable contract for you.Site notices from the Company to all salaried employees informs them that supervision has been instructed not to answer questions about the Company's proposal, or question our members about their position or feelings about negotiations, and not to solicit employees for input or suggestions, nor present proposals that have not been offered to the Union. If any of these events occur, please contact your union steward and report the incident immediately.

The Bargaining Committee remains sincere in fairly representing each and every member and knowingly assumes that duty. The membership should also be reminded that these contract talks are strictly between the Company and the Union. Therefore any news media reports or articles, outside of our own leaflets or web page should be considered inconsistent with our activities. We will immediately notify all members as soon as there are date(s) confirmed for the parties to meet and bargain.
