Unions Picket Governor
The Tarrant County AFL-CIO
led union members, including several from the UAW, to picket against some of
the 
policies of Governor Rick
Perry at the Ball Park in Arlington on November 11. Half of the 44 picketers
came from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 20.
Their local has over 400 members on layoff.
UAW Local 218 President Gary Livingston carried a
sign that read “Ship Rick to Iraq!” Musicians Union leader Ray Hair carried “Recall
Rick Perry!”
Three young high-school women were passing by.
They saw us and joined in. Brother Tim Raiter brought a 12-foot inflatable rat.
