Union Scholarships Given
At
the June 27 membership meeting, President Reecie Giesecke thanked the members
of the Scholarship Committee for their hard work. He said that the following
students will receive financial assistance from the fund this year: Aleen Brand,
Kendall Boeing, and Kerry Cade.

Alleen Brand on being a Local 848 Scholarship winner. John Wavrusa helped. John’s shirt has a picture of
his son, James “Earl” Wavrusa, who
died while serving as a steward at Vought. John has helped
keep the scholarship and the Local 848 golf tournament going for years.
