A new contract proposal was considered today at a meeting at Bowie High School. The members turned it down by a vote of 789-436.

A new strike vote was taken, which passed by a vote of 826-391.

Vought Chairman Russell Strowd reminded all UAW 848 members that they are still working tomorrow, October 11. New information from the union's leadership will be posted on this site as it becomes available. People wishing to volunteer should sign up with their union stewards.
