Ratification/Strike Authorization Vote Taken 9/26/04

UAW 848 members employed at Vought Aircraft Industries in Grand Prairie, Texas, voted September 26 at Bowie High School. With Bargaining Committtee recommendations not to accept the contract proposal, the membership voiced their strong support of the entire Bargaining Committee with a 98% vote to reject the contract proposal. The membership then voiced their strong support of strike action with a 94% vote to authorize a strike.

The entire Bargaining Committee thanks the membership for their very strong show of support.
